All Kids on Deck – Kid’s Church

Sunday is for kids too!

On Sunday mornings, we have a fun, hands-on Bible lesson that kids can relate to. Kids will draw, sing, share, pray, memorize Bible verses, win prizes, and do art projects! We learn about awesome people from the Bible, and how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. God’s love is so big for all the children in the world and we want you to know this love.

Here at Genesis, we love children and know that they can have a sincere and profound relationship with God, even at a young age. Our goal is to bring the Bible to life with real stories of real people, using arts, crafts, skits, and illustrations. Children also have an amazing capacity to learn the Word of God. Therefore, it is our goal to memorize scriptures through rehearsal, song, and contests! Lastly, we tailor ALL KIDS ON DECK to bring out the best leadership skills in children, expecting kids to actively participate in every aspect of children’s church and giving them defined leadership roles.

So if you are in K-5^th grade, come on back! Right after the first worship song during the Sunday morning celebration service, you will be invited to go with all the kids and teachers to the ALL KIDS ON DECK classroom, where you will meet new friends and Jesus the Savior!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Kelly and I lead the children’s church on Sunday mornings, which our kids have titled “ALL KIDS ON DECK!” My husband and I have been blessed to serve as the lead pastors of Genesis Church since September, 2009. In addition, I am a mother of 2 great kids, a professor at Southeastern University in Lakeland, and a psychologist. My passion is teaching, especially where the word of God is integrated with everyday matters, like raising children, strengthening marriage, and finding one’s identity and calling. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, gardening, and playing good-old-fashioned board games! Mostly, I try to keep my home organized, my college students engaged, and my church family supported. It is a lot to juggle, but is exactly where God has placed me!

We are so blessed at Genesis to have the bright and energetic partnership of many wonderful college students from Southeastern U. These students serve your children in numerous ways “behind the scenes.” It is an honor and joy to serve along side of them as together we raise up the next generation of God’s household!
